Fresnillo reported a record silver production of 18,805,000 million ounces during the first half of 2008 and a record quarterly silver production of 9.6 million during the second quarter of 2008. The growth was attributed to an increase in ore milled at the Fresnillo mine due to more efficient maintenance, and higher ore grades at the Ciénega and Herradura mines. |
