Jean Paul Maufinet specializes in administrative, environmental and natural resources law, anti-corruption compliance matters, commercial litigation and arbitration. His expertise includes advising local and foreign entities with respect to investment projects, identifying and obtaining environmental authorizations, permits and licenses. Jean Paul has been involved in conducting due diligence involving large international transactions, has participated in the design of defense strategies involving administrative sanctioning processes under environmental regulations, as well as occupational health and safety in mining.
Jean Paul also provides assistance in the preparation of bilingual anti-corruption trainings and learning materials and the preparation of preventative reports. He is familiar with the design and implementation of corporate compliance programs on anti-corruption, anti-money laundering and terrorism financing prevention under Peru laws.
Most recently, Jean Paul has served as Arbitral Secretary before the Lima Chamber of Commerce (Camara de Comercio de Lima), gaining important experience with arbitral processes at all levels in addition to having participated in the drafting of the new Lima Chamber of Commerce Arbitration Rules.
